The "Seeing is Believing" tour 2011 was the vision of my good brother and creative companion Andrew Jones. Andrew is a pioneer in digital painting, digital street art, and just about digital everything.
Sponsored by Corel, HP, and Wacom; our team set out across the west coast of North America to empower others creativity.
The tour began at "Lightning in a Bottle" festival in Southern California, and went all the way to British Columbia....and back. Throughout our journey the "seeing is believing" team worked our absolute hardest to push the limits of creating digital art.
With 3 vehicles armed with projectors strong enough to light up the side of a skyscraper, a bumping sound system, a 16 foot dome, a chef (youre the best Cjay!!!!), an arsenal of digital creative tools (touch screen drawing tablets etc) the Night Rainbow (andrews Van... not an ordinary van...), portable recording studio, an HP 42" giclee printer and a bunch of other super fun stuff; we set up creative spaces at Music/Art festivals playing music and creating/sharing digital art and music with all those around us.
in our spare time, we set up in the night and projected on the sides of buildings as Android Jones painted their entire sides with digital canvas's of light, while I either played music or set up my portable mini studio and wrote music on the streets.
Our team of art evangelists consisted of 9 constant travelers and up to 15 at sometimes.
Did I mention we had a full art gallery by Tribe 13 following us on our journey the entire way!!!....
it way my dream tour. Playing music all day, dancing and being inspired by amazing artists all around all the time, writing in totally bizarre settings, and getting to collaborate with some of my favorite artists.
Besides writing music, I also had the blessing of playing some life changing shows. Performing with two of my other audio/visual/dance projects "Seraphim" and "Phadroid" for thousands of people at Harmony Festival in Santa Rosa CA, and Lightning in a Bottle in Southern CA.
The tour transformed my entire life. i extend my infinite gratitude to Andrew Jones and EVERYONE involved in our journey. You are all my family and inspire me beyond words. it was a genuine pleasure traveling with all of you. You're all shining stars.
4 "alternate" album covers were created by Andrew Jones, Justin Totemical, Geo Atherton and Jessica Pearlstein. High quality 11" 17" poster prints of all the images are available for 20$.
Sending each and everyone one of you listening to this music all my love. I hope this music brings you as much joy as it brought me while I was creating it.
